Development Of Four New Airports In Pakistan

10/5/2017

Islamabad Airport: The airport is being constructed at Fateh Jang, Islamabad. It is expected that its construction will complete by December 2017 and the largest, technologically advanced and most modern airport ever seen in Pakistan will be unveiled.

New Gwadar International Airport: Construction of New Gwadar International Airport (NGIA) will start by the end of this year. The airport will be capable of managing a combination of ATR 72, Airbus, (A-300), Boeing (B-737) and Boeing (B-747) for national and international flights.

Reconstruction of Lahore Airport: A new airport is not being constructed in Lahore, but the reconstruction of the old airport will give a completely new look to Lahore Allama Iqbal International Airport. A Chinese company is investing $382 million for the rebuilding of the airport.

The airport in Faisalabad: There is demand for a new airport in Faisalabad as the city is the key industrial, business and commercial center of Pakistan. It exports textile products worth $6 billion, which are 55 percent of the total textile exports of Pakistan. Export of non-textile products has also increased in Faisalabad. Now if the demand is approved, we can expect yet another airport in Pakistan.
