TDAP assures support to PCMEA for trade promotion

Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) would provide all out assistance to Pakistan Carpet Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PCMEA) to help promote the carpet industry at the national and international level.
 
Mina Riaz Ahmed Director General TDAP Lahore expressed these views while addressing the members of PCMEA during a meeting held at PCMEA on Monday. He said that with the feedback of associations, TDAP would try to evolve a strategy to solve out an amicable solution to their problems.
 
The Director General asked PCMEA to propose a delegation to Europe for the marketing purpose of carpet exhibition to be held in Lahore in October this year. “Upon request of the PCMEA, the DG also agreed to project the carpet exhibition publicity through foreign missions abroad and in this context, we at TDAP will try to get this proposal implement so that the exhibition be better projected and the foreign buyers could attend the exhibition in enthusiastically.
 
PCMEA claimed that due to the grisly image of country abroad, the foreign buyers’ feels reluctant to come to Pakistan. To a reply, the DG assured TDAP would extend cooperation and all out assistance to depict softer image of the country so that the export related activities could further flourish and subsequently add to the country’s exports. Director Administration, TDAP Lahore Muhammad Irfan was also present during the meeting.
 
PCMEA Chairman and Senior Vice Chairman along with other members thanked DG TDAP for his kind support and for endorsing their trade promotion related requirements. The meeting ended with the note of thanks by PCMEA.
