KARACHI: The economic prosperity is just around the corner as the government is taking effective measures to eradicate poverty and unemployment.
These views were expressed by Sindh Governor Mohammad Zubair, on Tuesday, in a meeting with North Karachi Association of Trade and Industry’s delegation led by Khalid Mumtaz at his office here. Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Senator Nihal Hashmi was also present on the occasion.
Zubair stated that some mega projects were in completion phase and will be completed this year to stabilise the province economically, and 50,000 jobs will be provided in private sector this year. “The government is also developing the infrastructure for the industrial zone as the investment is not possible until its development. The industrialists should cooperate with the government in this regard,” he added.
Zubair urged the participants to apprise the government of the issues they face, adding that the same will be resolved and their recommendations will also be taken at the time of formation of industrial policy.
The governor went on to say that the future of Pakistan lies in the economic development of Karachi as major industries and markets are established there.
“Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is taking a personal interest in the industrial zone, who also visited Sindh six times within the period of one and a half month. The PM’s vision is economic growth which shows a positive result,” Zubair said.
He assured the members that he will personally talk to Nawaz Sharif to resolve their issues so that the pace of economic development can be accelerated.
